Hello! My name is Val.

I've recently graduated from the University of Alberta with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering (with distinction!), but I was this >< close to doing an education degree instead. I've always loved teaching, and it's always super satisfying to see someone's eyes light up when it just finally clicks.

I like to build up knowledge step-by-step from whatever your starting point is, and I'll try to help relate school concepts to personal interests so that the learning actually feels applicable. I offer assistance with all levels of math and physics, along with chemistry from K-12. 

I spend a lot of my spare time playing video games (indie games, mostly) or working on one of my many many many unfinished creative projects/crafts.
