Hello! My name is Mahtab!

I have a PhD in Behavioural Neuroscience from the University of Calgary and several years of experience teaching and tutoring students of all ages!

I enjoy helping students understand difficult concepts in a simple and approachable way. My tutoring style is supportive and adapted to each student’s needs. I like to break material down step by step, use examples, and help students build confidence in subjects they may find challenging. I also value open communication and provide lots of feedback.

I can work with students from K–12 through university and can provide support in a variety of subjects, including psychology, English, math, science, biology, and general study skills. I can also help university students with psychology/neuroscience courses, academic writing, exam preparation, and understanding research articles.

My goal is to make learning less stressful and help students feel more confident and independent in their schoolwork.
