Hi, I’m Danae! I am currently in my second year at the U of A majoring in Neuroscience. I am very passionate about learning and understanding new ideas, and believe it is so important to make learning a never ending journey. 

I graduated as the Valedictorian of the 2025 graduating class at Bev Facey. I also earned 100% on the Math 30-1, Biology 30, Chemistry 30, and Physics 30 diploma exams, so I am very well-versed in these subjects and would be happy to share my study techniques! More importantly, I am excited to get to know my students and work together to discover the learning strategies that work best for them. 

My degree in Neuroscience covers several subjects, including chemistry, biology, physics, and many others, which is cool because I get to expand upon concepts I first learned in high school. I am continually sharpening my understanding of these topics, which helps me explain and simplify complex systems when working with students. I also love mathematics, scoring 100% in Math 31 and scoring a 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam. Math can be a challenging subject to approach, but I am confident that together we can break problems down and succeed!

Outside of school, I enjoy playing ringette, running, going to the gym, reading, volunteering, and going for coffee with friends. I love hearing about my students’ interests and passions – often, I think having insight into what they enjoy gives me an idea of how to best approach tutoring them.
